Lesson 1: Don't Submit to sinning

June 21, 2009

Lots of people find excuses to sinning by saying we are too weak. No doubt, we are humans and we are created weak as the Quran tells us. But that does not mean that we easily submit to sins and from the first temptation. The Prophet told us, "The strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than the weak believer!" Strength has many meanings. But one of the important meanings of strength is having a strong will. Don't say the sin is too strong or too tempting for me to resist. Rather, try your best to put up a good fight. Even if you fall once, get up and fight again. Never let Shaitan have the final round and claim victory over you. Off course in all this, we have to seek the help of Allah. The Prophet said, "Seek what benefits you, seek help from Allah, and never quit". And remember, this fight doesn't stop till we die. So hang on!!!
